16:41 - “To those who leave their homes in the cause of Allah, after suffering oppression, We will assuredly give a goodly home in this world: but truly the reward of the Hereafter will be greater. If they only knew!”

Learning as I go / 12:17 AM

I was thinking of something that popped up in my head as I decended the calm escalator, lugging the ever so heavy filming equipment at my side; when a person dies, it's permanent but don't forget, his/her birthday still exist. I mean, just because the person has moved on to more complicating matters (living 7 feet beneath us all) doesn't mean he/she wasn't borned on whatever day he/she was borned. That person does exist even though he/she has passed away, only not where we are right now. I guess it would be okay to celebrate the birthday by thinking of all he/she has done while still alive, whether good or bad and forgive them for all their sins. So when people die, they are actually more alive than you'd think. They've made an impact to our lives (again, whether good or bad) and that impact has shaped us somehow. They're in our hearts, our minds and everything that we do (it sounds corny but it actually is true). Therefore, people should just try and live life before they're death impacts someone else.

All that aside, I was irritated to the point of aggression (almost) at this couple who took the same crowded train as me. I was returning home from filming and like I said, I was lugging the equipment. The door was going to close, and the couple kept clinging to each other (the guy was hugging her from the back) and attempting to walk in that position. It sounds like a game you play during camp but trust me, this time it wasn't funny. Obviously, they were struggling to walk in that position thus preventing me from moving deeper into the cabin to allow people behind me to enter. I was so irritated my hand was up and was about to knock them on their heads. Seriously, the train is crowded, people are trying to rush home and get a good night's rest (some might not even get a good night's rest), could you guys walk in separately and hug later? I was lucky enough I couldn't move much or I would have knocked them on their heads and shouted at their faces. Seriously you know, I heard of people being dumbfounded by love, but this is just ridiculous. Even my mum and dad don't do that.
