16:41 - “To those who leave their homes in the cause of Allah, after suffering oppression, We will assuredly give a goodly home in this world: but truly the reward of the Hereafter will be greater. If they only knew!”

Thank You God / 7:59 PM

Okay there are a few things I wanna thank god for. First and for most, I would like to thank god for my family, each and every member. This of course includes my sister whom I previously do not like at all. I come to realise there are certain traits that are good about her and I think she does care about me at least a little. Of course I'd like to thank god for my parents and granny even though they are really really irritating at times. Other than my family,  I think I'll never be who I am without my friends. I think they, in a way, raise me to be who I am. Character-wise of course. I have no close friend who have not influenced me at all. They are the ones that shape my characteristics around my identity. I just hope I'd be as good of a friend they are to me. Thirdly, I'd like to thank god for his gifts. I'd like to thank him for giving me talent in the arts/music scene. I'm not saying I'm very good because I'm not but I think I'm okay. I like what I do but I still think there are lots of room for improvement. LOTS. I mentioned before that I'm not liking a certain person because I think he/she is very arrogant because he/she portrays that he/she thinks he/she is the best at singing/acting/writing and whatnot. I am guilty for talking behind that person's back and would like to thank god for meeting such a person in life because I think it serves as a lesson. I should always be humble and not show my talents off no matter how much better I am at it than other people.

That aside, my day was actually quite pleasing. I went for guitar class just now and I actually felt happy and excited in class. Those feelings were absent from me when I went for classes for quite some time. I'm glad that my interest for playing the guitar is not gone. After class I met Nisha and we ate and chilled. When leaving the area, we heard a guy doing soundcheck for a concert being held at the multi purpose hall near Nisha's place. He was good! He sang 'Taller, Stronger, Better' by Guy Sebastian, the song Reyza did a recording before. It was really nice. In fact, his voice reminded me of Reyza. We thought he was chinese but he was actually malay because he did soundcheck for 'Usah Lepaskan' by Taufik Batisah. His voice was still nice. That was when I suddenly got really inspired to work harder on my singing. Thank you stranger! =)

On the way to bedok interchange, me and Nisha were talking about starting an acoustic band with Sheilah. I thought it was a good idea since Sheilah and I wanted to form a band. We don't have the equipment to make a full band yet so I think it's a good idea to start with acoustics since we do have guitars and it's easier to get acoustic guitars for performances. I sent Sheilah an sms about it but she hasn't replied. If she agrees, we'd have a discussion soon and decide on what songs to cover. Obviously we'll practice and practice a lot before deciding to perform somewhere. If this does happen, then Nisha would be the vocalist for the band since I think she has the best voice among us three. She has really improved a lot and I have never stopped looking up to her as a singer because I think she really has the talent. She and Farhana are the two people who have always been there to push me forward and I thank them for that. So you guys just keep an ear out for our acoustic band. If it is formed in the first place that is. Insya'allah.
