16:41 - “To those who leave their homes in the cause of Allah, after suffering oppression, We will assuredly give a goodly home in this world: but truly the reward of the Hereafter will be greater. If they only knew!”

A night of thinking / 12:42 PM

Masjid Sultan
Yesterday after my night prayers (terawih), I met Syafiq and later on Ikhsan at Masjid Ghufran. All three of us went for qiyammulai for the first time  in our lives and I gotta say that it's a good experience. For those who are wondering what in Thames Path is qiyammulai, it's where muslims go to the masjid/mosque to get closer to god. The prayers will start at about 3.45 and to not waste money on taxi fare you'd have to go there early and just sleep there. According to Ikhsan, during the Solat Tahajud, you're suppose to think of your sins and cry over them. You're suppose to realise your mistakes and pray that god gives you strength to be a better person. Ouh and you could bring your own reading materials like your own Quran. Personally, I think bringing my Quran, Diary of Anne Frank and a prayer book was a good move so you won't get bored. But why need a Quran? Well, you're suppose to get closer to god so the best way is for you to brush up on you're Quran reading and while you read, think of all the sins you have done. Overall, I love going qiyammulai with my friends. It's really a good experience. And when you're standing there with the Imam reading a very long surah, and you thinking of how you spend you're life as a muslim, it really gets to you. I'm glad I tried it before the end of Ramadhan.

Ouh and on another note, I can't believe everything good is happening on the first week of raya. So shit! Ash is coming to Singapore on the 2nd of October, 4/4 class gathering is on the 4th of October and my current class stuff is on the 6th to 8th (I think). This is damn shit!! I really wanna go for all of them! *pouts*
